OUR ARTISTS
get to know us
Rising Moon Gallery currently features the work of 12 local artists and makers. All of our artists are working in relationship with the land in some respect; either through their choice of materials and process, their subject matter, or their cultural heritage. We are proud to share this space with such accomplished and thoughtful potters, print-makers, woodworkers, textile and jewellery artists, charcoal artists and 2-D designers.
Our artists' backgrounds range from full time, academically trained professionals, to artists who have learned through apprenticeship and years of practical training, to those who are self-taught and divide their time between other careers and their creative pursuits. Each of our artists are selected based on the merits of their work, the quality of their craftsmanship, and their alignment with the values, vision, and mission of the gallery.
We are so excited to offer you a wide variety of meaningful work from such a gifted group of makers, and we are grateful for the unique contribution each of our artists makes to fulfilling our vision of bringing beauty for the purpose of maintaining traditional methods of production and commerce; the ways of making and interacting that have sustained humanity for thousands of years.
